Count the occurrence of sequences of values in a vector that meets certain conditions of length and magnitude. The method is based on the Run Length Encoding algorithm, available with base R, inspired by A. H. Robinson and C. Cherry (1967) doi:10.1109/PROC.1967.5493.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from rfsaldanha/nseq. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-nseq

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
