Designed to automate the calculation of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) quality metrics, 'nemsqar' implements measures defined by the National EMS Quality Alliance (NEMSQA). By providing reliable, evidence-based quality assessments, the package supports EMS agencies, healthcare providers, and researchers in evaluating and improving patient outcomes. Users can find details on all approved NEMSQA measures at https://www.nemsqa.org/measures. Full technical specifications, including documentation and pseudocode used to develop 'nemsqar', are available on the NEMSQA website after creating a user profile at https://www.nemsqa.org.

Changes in 1.2.1

Updated how wrapper functions report runtime (e.g., airway_01()). Runtime is now calculated using difftime(units = "auto"), converting the result with as.numeric() and extracting the dynamic time unit via attr(which = "units"). This makes the time unit automatic and avoids potential downstream issues.
Corrected a typo involving ETCO2 across several functions, globalVariables.R, and constants.R, where it appeared as “etc02” in various cases. All instances were fixed by replacing the zero with the letter “o” (case‑sensitive).

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.
