Extends the 'mlr3' ecosystem to functional analysis by adding support for irregular and regular functional data as defined in the 'tf' package. The package provides 'PipeOps' for preprocessing functional columns and for extracting scalar features, thereby allowing standard machine learning algorithms to be applied afterwards. Available operations include simple functional features such as the mean or maximum, smoothing, interpolation, flattening, and functional 'PCA'.

fix: PipeOps no longer forward affect_columns to their backend functions.
fix: PipeOpFDAInterpol now reports which grid, left, and right combination is invalid instead of failing with an opaque assertion.
fix: PipeOpFDAInterpol now errors when left and right fall outside the domain of a functional column.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
