Multiple imputation using 'XGBoost', subsampling, and predictive mean matching as described in Deng and Lumley (2024) <doi:10.1080/10618600.2023.2252501>. The package supports various types of variables, offers flexible settings, and enables saving an imputation model to impute new data. Data processing and memory usage have been optimised to speed up the imputation process.

Install

install.packages("mixgb")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

pak::pak("agnesdeng/mixgb")

Development version from agnesdeng/mixgb. Requires the pak package.

Release

# one-time r2u setup for Ubuntu (noble)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash

# then install

sudo apt install r-cran-mixgb

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). Run the setup once per machine.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf copr enable iucar/cran

sudo dnf install R-CRAN-mixgb

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

sudo zypper install R-mixgb

RPMs auto-built from CRAN on openSUSE OBS.
