Interface to the 'MinIO' Client
Overview
An R interface to the 'MinIO' Client. The 'MinIO' Client ('mc') provides a modern alternative to UNIX commands like 'ls', 'cat', 'cp', 'mirror', 'diff', 'find' etc. It supports 'filesystems' and Amazon "S3" compatible cloud storage service ("AWS" Signature v2 and v4). This package provides convenience functions for installing the 'MinIO' client and running any operations, as described in the official documentation, https://docs.min.io/aistor/reference/cli/. This package provides a flexible and high-performance alternative to 'aws.s3'.
- bug-fix: on Windows,
mc()andmc_sql()looked for a binary namedmcwhileinstall_mc()installsmc.exe, so the install check never matched and interactive sessions were prompted to (re)install on every call. The binary name is now resolved through a sharedmc_bin()helper everywhere. Thanks to @mdsumner for the diagnosis (#16, #15). - bug-fix:
mc_sql()returns S3-Select results with--json, butmcreports server-side errors as a JSON payload on stdout while exiting0.mc_sql()now detects that payload and raises an R error instead of returning the error object as if it were query results.
