The mFilter package implements several time series filters useful for smoothing and extracting trend and cyclical components of a time series. The routines are commonly used in economics and finance, however they should also be interest to other areas. Currently, Christiano-Fitzgerald, Baxter-King, Hodrick-Prescott, Butterworth, and trigonometric regression filters are included in the package.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-mFilter

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
