Functions for vectorised conditional recoding of variables. case_when() enables you to vectorise multiple if and else statements (like 'CASE WHEN' in 'SQL'). if_else() is a stricter and more predictable version of ifelse() in 'base' that preserves attributes. These functions are forked from 'dplyr' with all package dependencies removed and behave identically to the originals.

Install

install.packages("lest", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-lest

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
