Takes the MinT implementation of the 'hts'https://cran.r-project.org/package=hts package and adapts it to allow degenerate hierarchical structures. Instead of the "nodes" argument, this function takes an S matrix which is more versatile in the structures it allows. For a demo, see Steinmeister and Pauly (2024)doi:10.15488/17729. The MinT algorithm is based on Wickramasuriya et al. (2019)doi:10.1080/01621459.2018.1448825.

Install

install.packages("htsDegenerateR", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-htsDegenerateR

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
