An extension of 'ggplot2' to provide quiver plots to visualise vector fields. This functionality is implemented using a geom to produce a new graphical layer, which allows aesthetic options. This layer can be overlaid on a map to improve visualisation of mapped data.

Changes in 0.5.0

Fixed automatic vecsize grid detection incorrectly rescaling arrows for irregularly spaced data (e.g. GPS coordinates) whenever the x- and y-spacings happened to coincide.
Automatic vecsize grid detection now warns instead of erroring when a grid size can't be determined (e.g. a single data point), leaving arrows unscaled.
geom_quiver() now hints to use coord_fixed()/coord_equal() if needed (#10).
Legend keys now show an arrowhead, matching the arrows drawn in the panel.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
