Get spatial vector data from the Atlas du Patrimoine (http://atlas.patrimoines.culture.fr/atlas/trunk/), the official national platform of the French Ministry of Culture, and facilitate its use within R geospatial workflows. The package provides functions to list available heritage datasets, query and retrieve heritage data using spatial queries based on user-provided sf objects, perform spatial filtering operations, and return results as sf objects suitable for spatial analysis, mapping, and integration into heritage management and landscape studies.

Improved get_heritage() robustness when processing spatial queries that return no features.
Added handling for NonTelechargeable.txt responses returned by the Atlas du Patrimoine when no spatial features match the requested extent.
Improved error handling when shapefiles cannot be read from downloaded archives.
Improved diagnostic messages for empty spatial query results and shapefile read failures.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
