Bayesian estimation of spatial weight matrices in spatial econometric panel models. Allows for estimation of spatial autoregressive (SAR), spatial error (SEM), spatial Durbin (SDM), spatial error Durbin (SDEM) and spatially lagged explanatory variable (SLX) type specifications featuring an unknown spatial weight matrix. Methodological details are given in Krisztin and Piribauer (2022) doi:10.1080/17421772.2022.2095426.

Install

install.packages("estimateW", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-estimateW

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
