Provides tools for downloading and processing data on the Brazilian Amazon region from a variety of official sources. Covers environmental, agricultural, economic, and social indicators, including deforestation and land use, greenhouse gas emissions, climate, agricultural and livestock production, mining, energy, and foreign trade, from providers such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), and MapBiomas. Data are cleaned and standardized for analysis at the municipality, state, and regional levels.

Added "energy_state_panel" dataset to load_epe: yearly energy production by source and state (2011-2024), from EPE's BEN Chapter 8 (Dados Estaduais).
Deprecated load_datasus(). All its datasets were moved to a new package: datazoom.saude. Beta version available.
Updated load_mapbiomas to the Collection 9 data, with both new and reformed datasets

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
