Calculates metrics of proportionality using the logit-normal multinomial model. It can also provide empirical and plugin estimates of these metrics.

Added argument lr.penalty to functions mleLR() and mlePath()

allow penalization of the covariance matrix

on both the additive log-ratio and centered log-ratio scales.

Added argument lr to both logitNormalVariation() and naiveVariation()

to allow calculation of metrics of proportionality on either

the ALR or CLR scale.

Added function convertSigma() to allow easy conversion

between covariance matrices on ALR and CLR scales.

Function pluginVariation() is now deprecated as its results will

now be equivalent to naiveVariation().

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
