A native R 'torch' port of the 'Chatterbox' text-to-speech engine https://github.com/resemble-ai/chatterbox. Provides speech synthesis with voice cloning; model weights are downloaded from 'HuggingFace' https://huggingface.co/ via the 'hfhub' package.

Changes in 0.2.1

serve() resolves a voice-library name (e.g. "Barry") against voices_dir before treating the voice field as a path. Previously a like-named file or directory in the server's working directory shadowed the library voice, so /v1/audio/speech returned a 500 ("cannot open the connection"). A path is now accepted only when it is a regular file.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.
