An interface to the Bayesian Weighted Sums model implemented in 'RStan'. It estimates the summed effect of multiple, often moderately to highly correlated, continuous predictors. Its applications can be found in analysis of exposure mixtures. The model was proposed by Hamra, Maclehose, Croen, Kauffman, and Newschaffer (2021) doi:10.3390/ijerph18041373. This implementation includes an extension to model binary outcome.

Install

install.packages("bws", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-bws

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
