Deals with the braid groups. Includes creation of some specific braids, group operations, free reduction, and Bronfman polynomials. Braid theory has applications in fluid mechanics and quantum physics. The code is adapted from the 'Haskell' library 'combinat', and is based on Birman and Brendle (2005) doi:10.48550/arXiv.math/0409205.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-braids

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
