Provides arithmetic functions for R matrix and 'big.matrix' objects as well as functions for QR factorization, Cholesky factorization, General eigenvalue, and Singular value decomposition (SVD). A method matrix multiplication and an arithmetic method -for matrix addition, matrix difference- allows for mixed type operation -a matrix class object and a big.matrix class object- and pure type operation for two big.matrix class objects.

Changes in 3.1.1

Fixed compilation with recent Clang and libc++ by including the standard headers required by bigmemory/BigMatrix.h.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
