Fast generators and iterators for permutations, combinations, integer partitions and compositions. The arrangements are in lexicographical order and generated iteratively in a memory efficient manner. It has been demonstrated that 'arrangements' outperforms most existing packages of similar kind. Benchmarks could be found at https://randy3k.github.io/arrangements/articles/benchmark.html.

Install

install.packages("arrangements", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from randy3k/arrangements. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-arrangements

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
