Flat text files provide a robust, compressible, and portable way to store tables from databases. This package provides convenient functions for exporting tables from relational database connections into compressed text files and streaming those text files back into a database without requiring the whole table to fit in working memory.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from ropensci/arkdb. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-arkdb

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
