A collection of functions that enable easy access and updating of a database of data over time. More specifically, the package facilitates type-2 history for data-warehouses and provides a number of Quality of life improvements for working on SQL databases with R. For reference see Ralph Kimball and Margy Ross (2013, ISBN 9781118530801).

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from ssi-dk/SCDB. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-SCDB

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
