Implements the fast iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm (FISTA) algorithm to fit a Gamma distribution with an elastic net penalty as described in Chen, Arakvin and Martin (2018) doi:10.48550/arXiv.1804.07780. An implementation for the case of the exponential distribution is also available, with details available in Chen and Martin (2018) doi:10.2139/ssrn.3085672.

Changes in 1.1.4

Removed redundant Maintainer field from DESCRIPTION (already specified in Authors@R).
Added Encoding: UTF-8 to DESCRIPTION.
Updated examples to conditionally check for PerformanceAnalytics availability using requireNamespace(), ensuring compatibility with noSuggests CRAN checks.
Package now compatible with RPEIF 1.2.6.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
