Allows for nonparametric regression where one assumes that the signal is given by the sum of a piecewise constant function and a smooth function. More precisely, it implements the estimator PCpluS (piecewise constant plus smooth regression estimator) from Pein and Shah (2025) doi:10.48550/arXiv.2112.03878.

Install

install.packages("PCpluS", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-PCpluS

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
