Implements the One Rule (OneR) Machine Learning classification algorithm (Holte, R.C. (1993) doi:10.1023/A:1022631118932) with enhancements for sophisticated handling of numeric data and missing values together with extensive diagnostic functions. It is useful as a baseline for machine learning models and the rules are often helpful heuristics.

MAJOR IMPORVEMENTS

OneR: massive speedup of main OneR function (> 30 times faster).
OneR & optbin: standard S3 method interface added for formulas and data frames.

MINOR IMPROVEMENTS

optbin: speedup of method "infogain".
Some minor corrections in documentation.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
