Computationally efficient functions to provide direct likelihood-based inference for partially-observed multivariate birth-death processes. Such processes range from a simple Yule model to the complex susceptible-infectious-removed model in disease dynamics. Efficient likelihood evaluation facilitates maximum likelihood estimation and Bayesian inference.

install.packages("MultiBD", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-MultiBD

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
