A word embeddings-based semi-supervised model for document scaling Watanabe (2020) doi:10.1080/19312458.2020.1832976. LSS allows users to analyze large and complex corpora on arbitrary dimensions with seed words exploiting efficiency of word embeddings (SVD, Glove). It can generate word vectors on a users-provided corpus or incorporate a pre-trained word vectors.

Changes in 1.5.2

Add nested_weight to textmodel_lss() and as.textmodel_lss() to perform dictionary-like analysis.
Remove auto_weight from textmodel_lss().

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
