Provides routines for fitting Cox models by likelihood based boosting for single event survival data with right censoring or in the presence of competing risks. The methodology is described in Binder and Schumacher (2008) doi:10.1186/1471-2105-9-14 and Binder et al. (2009) doi:10.1093/bioinformatics/btp088.

Install

install.packages("CoxBoost", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-CoxBoost

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
