Generate synthetic station-based monthly climate time-series including temperature and rainfall, export to Network Common Data Form (NetCDF), and provide visualization helpers for climate workflows. The approach is inspired by statistical weather generator concepts described in Wilks (1999) doi:10.1016/S0168-1923(99)00037-4 and Richardson (1981) doi:10.1029/WR017i001p00182.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from ikemillar/CDSim. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-CDSim

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
