Provides methods for piecewise smooth regression. A piecewise smooth signal is estimated by applying a bootstrapped test recursively (binary segmentation approach). Each bootstrapped test decides whether the underlying signal is smooth on the currently considered subsegment or contains at least one further change-point.

Install

install.packages("BinSegBstrap", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-BinSegBstrap

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
