Bayesian fitting and sensitivity analysis methods for adaptive spline surfaces described in doi:10.18637/jss.v094.i08. Built to handle continuous and categorical inputs as well as functional or scalar output. An extension of the methodology in Denison, Mallick and Smith (1998) doi:10.1023/A:1008824606259.

Install

install.packages("BASS", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-BASS

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
