The Bayesian Adjustment for Confounding (BAC) algorithm (Wang et al., 2012) can be used to estimate the causal effect of a continuous exposure on a continuous outcome. This package provides an approximate sensitivity analysis of BAC with regards to the hyperparameter omega. BACprior also provides functions to guide the user in their choice of an appropriate omega value. The method is based on Lefebvre, Atherton and Talbot (2014).

Install

install.packages("BACprior", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-BACprior

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
