Three Shiny apps are provided that introduce Harvest Control Rules (HCR) for fisheries management. 'Introduction to HCRs' provides a simple overview to how HCRs work. Users are able to select their own HCR and step through its performance, year by year. Biological variability and estimation uncertainty are introduced. 'Measuring performance' builds on the previous app and introduces the idea of using performance indicators to measure HCR performance. 'Comparing performance' allows multiple HCRs to be created and tested, and their performance compared so that the preferred HCR can be selected.

install.packages("AMPLE")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

pak::pak("PacificCommunity/ofp-sam-ample")

Development version from PacificCommunity/ofp-sam-ample. Requires the pak package.

Release

# one-time r2u setup for Ubuntu (noble)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash

# then install

sudo apt install r-cran-ample

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). Run the setup once per machine.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf copr enable iucar/cran

sudo dnf install R-CRAN-AMPLE

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

sudo zypper install R-AMPLE

RPMs auto-built from CRAN on openSUSE OBS.
