Access and handle APIs that use the international 'open311' 'GeoReport v2' standard for civic issue tracking <https://wiki.open311.org/GeoReport_v2/>. Retrieve civic service types and request data. Select and add available 'open311' endpoints and jurisdictions. Implicitly supports custom queries and 'open311' extensions. Requires a minimal number of hard dependencies while still allowing the integration in common R formats ('xml2', 'tibble', 'sf').

Install

install.packages("r311")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

pak::pak("rOpenGov/r311")

Development version from rOpenGov/r311. Requires the pak package.

Release

# one-time r2u setup for Ubuntu (noble)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash

# then install

sudo apt install r-cran-r311

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). Run the setup once per machine.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf copr enable iucar/cran

sudo dnf install R-CRAN-r311

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

sudo zypper install R-r311

RPMs auto-built from CRAN on openSUSE OBS.
