Calculates additive and dominance genetic relationship matrices and their inverses, in matrix and tabular-sparse formats. It includes functions for checking and processing pedigree, calculating inbreeding coefficients (Meuwissen & Luo, 1992 <doi:10.1186/1297-9686-24-4-305>), as well as functions to calculate the matrix of genetic group contributions (Q), and adding those contributions to the genetic merit of animals (Quaas (1988) <doi:10.3168/jds.S0022-0302(88)79691-5>). Calculation of Q is computationally extensive. There are computationally optimized functions to calculate Q.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

pak::pak("nilforooshan/ggroups")

Development version from nilforooshan/ggroups. Requires the pak package.

Release

# one-time r2u setup for Ubuntu (noble)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash

# then install

sudo apt install r-cran-ggroups

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). Run the setup once per machine.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf copr enable iucar/cran

sudo dnf install R-CRAN-ggroups

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

sudo zypper install R-ggroups

RPMs auto-built from CRAN on openSUSE OBS.
