Provides some function to perform posterior estimation for some distribution, with emphasis to extreme value distributions. It contains some extreme datasets, and functions that perform the runs of posterior points of the GPD and GEV distribution. The package calculate some important extreme measures like return level for each t periods of time, and some plots as the predictive distribution, and return level plots.

Install

install.packages("MCMC4Extremes", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-MCMC4Extremes

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
